The Southeast Chapter of the National Association of Professional Geriatric
Care Managers (GCM)is a member organization of Professional
Geriatric Care Managers (PGCMs) whose purpose includes the development,
advancement and promotion of human and dignified social, psychological,
and health care for Elders and their families. Our geriatric care managers, located in
Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and North
Carolina, are certified and/or licensed at the independent level and meet the criteria
for membership at the national level.
Qualified individuals with degrees in Human Services (Nursing, Social
Work, Psychology, Gerontology), primarily engaged in direct
practice, administration or supervision of client centered services to the
elderly comprise the membership.
Through Assessment, Education, Advocacy, Counseling and the Delivery of
specific services, PGCMs are professionals who can help guide families
through the transition of aging in a caring, organized, thoughtful way.
Founded in 1986, GCM is nationally recognized as the leader in the
provision of Professional Geriatric Care Management and is often called
upon to provide expert information for the national media.
